12v issues

There is no 12v shore power. Everything works off the battery but only the microwave/outlets and air conditioner work when hooked up to shore power. I have checked all fuses/breakers that are accessible and non are tripped( including the ones by the battery that have a button. I do have “MP waterproof 100 -30VDC Ignition protector” but it doesn’t have a button like similar posts. ……. PLEASE HELP!

You need to understand the two different RV electrical systems.
The a/c, outlets and microwave are 120v AC ONLY. They do not run off of 12v DC battery power.
Suggest that you Google "the 12 Volt Side of Life". It's a good primer on the two different RV electrical systems.
So you need shore power or an inverter generator to run them.
Is this your first RV? What is year, make and model number of the RV?
If you want to spend some money, you could invest in a bank of LiPo batteries, big inverter and upgraded wiring. Then you could power the outlets and microwave. But not the a/c.

I have a 2021 Geopro 19bh
It runs on 30 amp power and is equipped with solar/inverter. It was running everything off shore power but had an issue this last trip.

I am a first time rv owner but I am pretty handy. I understand the difference between ac/dc and what works on what in a rv.
I have looked all over for a loose connection but testing each connection is a bit beyond my capabilities.

search for videos on how to use a multimeter to test a circuit
invaluable to a person that has an camper/rv

look for a BIG battery disconnect switch
near the battery on the frame or close by

can you hookup to 120v even to a 15amp outlet (from a garage etc)
you will need a 12 to 30amp adapter

you can then use the converter to power the 12v stuff while you workout what is what with your battery.

I currently have it hooked up to 110v at my house…. And it doesn’t work.
What makes the situation even weirder, last time the shore power stopped working (2 weeks ago) I brought it home and it worked at our house for the next weekend. Then we left on another trip and neither the site power nor the house power works now. I keep looking at the inline circuit breakers/fuses with no avail.

I apologize. I thought you were wanting to run the a/c and microwave on 12v battery power.

It could be anything from a bad cord to shore power, a bad plug, a problem with the converter, or a fuse blown somewhere.
You probably need someone like a mobile mechanic or dealer to trace down the problem.

Seems that you need to obtain someone who has in-depth knowledge and experience in analyzing and repairing RV power systems.

You have at least two, (1) 120-volt a/c shore power and (2) 12-volt DC battery power. You may have (3) solar that provides charging ability for the battery system.

A VOM or digital volt meter and the knowledge of how to trace circuits and analyze voltage are critically important to keeping RV systems working correctly.

OK, I know you are wanting it all to work, but we are going to need more precise answers to help, as you are kinda all over the place on certain things. You are going to need to learn some more RV basics, which requires reading and some patience. If you can help us help you, we should be able to get it solved and you can enjoy your RV.

We are needing to first diagnose if you have a 120 volt AC problem which in turn is affecting your 12 volt DC..........or if it's a 12 volt DC ONLY problem.

Please read this thread link below first about the converter. It consists of 6 posts. It's real important you read that entire thread as I am going to ask you some diagnostic future questions directly from that thread.

https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...nt-152813.html

Now AFTER you have read that:

1.How are you connected at your house EXACTLY? Are you using an adapter at the end of your shore power cord to plug into a regular household outlet at your home. We need all the specifics on this.

2. When plugged in at your home currently, does your RV microwave display light up?

3. Open up the electric distribution panel cover inside your RV where all the 120 volt AC circuit breakers and/or 12 volt DC fuses are located (These fuses could be in a separate place)...... and take a pic of these that you can post here. This is going to help us determine if you have a MBA type converter OR a deck type converter.

4. How do you know that your battery(ies) are currently charged?

Thanks

When connected to shore power, your converter both provides coach 12v and charges the battery. The converter likely has its own circuit breaker. Please check to make sure that it is not in the "tripped free" position by manually cycling the breaker. Then use a tester to check that it is producing 12v when plugged into shore power. USE CAUTION when working with the converter as it is often located in the same space as live 120v current, which must be on to see if the converter works.
