Good Evening everyone
Sorry for any spelling errors tonight. My fingers are a little sticky from dealing with an overload of DiCor Lap sealant.
First question how do I remove the excessive amount of lap sealant from the drain area of the fiberglass shower tub? A previous owner of my TT used it as a sealant around the tub drain and now it stopped working and the tub leaks. I finally got the JR Product drain removed and ordered this one as a replacement.

I need to get all of the Lap sealant off before I install the new drain.
Second question, to install the new drain correctly do I use plumber's putty just as I had when I renovated my sink on other house(the one without wheels).
Thanks all
