2016 Vibe side panels

Lower side panels flex from wind while towing my 2016 Vibe. I looked at the braces that secure the panels and they are bent with some of the sheet metal screws loose. I think braces should be upgraded with a better brace. Any suggestions?

I was looking at that when we picked up my buddy's new Vibe. The brackets are very flimsy, and they're only held together by self tapping screws that are loose. I basically grabbed it from the backside, and was able to turn it with my fingers. It's doing very little.

My first thought would be to replace at least the bottom self tapping screw with a screw, washer and lock-nut at each joint. I think that would help firm it up a bunch.

Thanks I will do that. I do think the braces are undersigned and I will look for a replacement.
