2608BS Wheel and hub question

I have a 2608 BS and am planning a longer trip in a couple of months (2K miles).I am due for wheel bearing repack. According to Dexter axle, I have the EZ-lube hubs on my axles. Haven't confirmed this because it has the mags on it with what appears to be an attached center cap.
Before I jack this up and pull the wheels, can anyone tell me if that center cap is removable WITHOUT removing the wheel?

Thanks!
Charlie

That appears to be a Lionshead "Lynx" wheel. The center cap slips in from the rear.

The center cap slides in from the rear, but the small cap in the center does come off without removing the wheel...

Yes, it's plastic just pop it off with a screwdriver. It's probably a sure sign you have ez-lube.

My 2021 2068bs/lions head does.

The bearing police will be along shortly to tell you why shouldn't use them. You'll have to make your own decision about that. I haven't decided yet what I'll do, I have the stuff to do it either way next year some time.

LOL... No doubt...

EZ lubes work great if you do it correctly (as with many things). After spending 25 years working on cars for a living (even if it was a while ago) I can probably manage to lube a set of bearings properly. LOL...

Hey great suggestion to avoid jacking it up. Hadn't even thought of that.

Update.... went out and looked carefully... there is indeed a center cap that can be removed and I can access the rubber cap below that. So I CAN get to the fittings without removing the wheel, but I'd rather jack it up and rotate the wheels to grease without pressure on the bearings, so I will likely remove the wheels anyway if for no other reason than to be able to clean up the grease that will push back out. Thanks, folks!

Just EZ-Lubed my bearings today. I already had the TT up on a jack to reinstall the wheels with their new Goodyear Endurance tires, so I figured I'd try it out. It was easy, and it was nice to be able to rotate the wheels as I added grease. This is the first time I've tried the EZ-Lube on the TT (have used them on a utility trailer).....usually remove and replace the bearings at the appointed time, but this was an easy way to refresh the grease. If you are going to jack up the TT, remember to do so by the frame. The Forum has had some good posts about how to best do that. Our camping buddies have that same TT, and it's really nice - you will have a great trip. Safe travels.

Pull the wheels, inspect the brakes, hand repack the bearings and adjust the brakes...
Using E-Z lube where does all of the old grease get pushed? All over your brake shoes

Not on mine. The old grease comes out the outside of the hub spindle like it is supposed to.

Only gets all over your brake shoes if the rear seal is blown.... If you use a power grease gun you will probably blow the rear seal... A hand pump grease gun is required....
