3 Inch Eternabond Tape
Hello,
I am looking to purchase some 3 inch Eternabond tape. I found a seller on eBay who has great reviews. They claim they are not an authorized distributor but are a reseller. They have some 3 inch Eternabond roof seal tape. I searched on the Eternabond website and did not see a listing for 3 inch roof seal tape. I want to make sure I am not going to receive a counterfeit product. Has anyone obtained and used 3 inch Eternabond roof seal tape? Any ideas on how to tell counterfeit and the real thing apart?

Me thinks.... not on (Eternabond) website, then it is not the real thing.

I've gotten Eternabond from Automotive Authority LLC. They sell multiple widths including 3". they also offer the tape in less than full rolls, multiples of 5 feet, which the cut from master rolls. I got to the company via Walmart.com, so I expect they are a legitimate distributor.

X2...I received a card with my Eternabond order from Amazon. This card had application instructions on the back of it.

Externa Bond RV Tape 3 inch
I use Externa Bond and have tried another brand Beech Lane Rv rubber rood tape. Beech Lane may not have 3 inch not sure! But a 4 inch by 50 foot roll is $20.00 plus dollars cheaper. It is equal in my past experience with maybe a little better sticking than Externabond. Have had some on for 4 years still looks great.

I have gotten real Eternabond from eBay as well as other weather parts like rain gutter extensions and the vinyl that covers the rain gutter screws.
i don't believe you have anything to worry about.

Talked to the eBay seller. They said they sell 10k to 20k rolls a year. They were willing to send pictures of the Eternabond pallets in their warehouse if needed. He said every roll is 100% authentic and has the TM microsealant technology on the inside of the roll. I guess I will see when it comes. Based on their eBay rating/feedback they are a good seller. If it does not seem legit I will report it to eBay and PayPal!

For anyone interested or in the same situation, I reached out to Eternabond and they do manufacture and sell roof seal tape in 3 inch widths. Thanks for everyone’s feedback!

This is good to know. When doing my roof I actually wanted 3" wide but couldnt find anything that said "eternabond" actually makes it in that size. My original thought for this entire thread was that I was skeptical. Glad to now have the correct information.
