Ac or heat won't kick on always?

So we've had our TT for several months and mostly everything works well. In summer i noticed the ac will kick on right away when turned on but then get boiling hot and doesn't turn on. Have to turn it to off then on again and it comes back on. Now the furnace is similar. Sometimes in the middle of night it just doesn't kick back on. Have to get up to turn off then back on and it fires right up. Are these tied into the same temp sensor?

X2. If you have a Coleman Mach, you can buy a plug-and-play digital for about $50, or install any digital you buy at Home Depot.

Here's a wiring diagram if you want to put in a Honeywell. If you want both fan speeds you'll need to add a switch as shown.

It is a digital already but doesn't seem to always come on. I'm pretty sure the pdi was just making sure they kicked on.

You're beyond my experience now, but since you're "resetting" by turning it off and back on, I'd guess it's still the thermostat.

What model do you have? Mine has a master cutoff switch for the AC unit to prevent the AC and furnace running at the same time. When that switch is open, the furnace will come on once, but will shut off after a couple minutes and won't come on a 2nd time.

Does seem like a thermostat issue. Both the AC and furnace are doing this? Assuming they are separate systems the only common link is the thermostat.

If it has the Dometic digital thermostat you can try initializing it and see if that helps, but there have been several reports of that not working and having to have it replaced. It could be either the thermostat itself or the control box in the A/C.

Since you've only had it a few months, it should still be under warranty.
