AC Troubleshooting

This is our first trip out this year and it seems that our AC is not cooling. It is 86 degrees here in GA and I am hoping someone can help us troubleshoot or tell me to give it time to cool off. We have a Greywolf TT with a Dometic AC. Any help is appreciated!

What temp is the vent blowing out compared to the temp inside?

You don't say what year you GW is. Dometic has a batch of AC units that had corrosion issues and would leak. Contact your dealer as Dometic extended the warranty. As it is a Dometic issue, you may be able to have it replaced at any authorized Dometic shop.

@Toddupton it feels the same or maybe slightly cooler. I don't have a thermometer to tell.

@Flybob it is a 2015.

Covered under extended warranty. Call dealer or Dometic.

I just had an issue with mine and discovered it was user error. It felt as if warm or barely cool air was coming from the vents. I found that I had the fan set to low instead of auto. The compressor would kick off when the required temp was met and then the fan would continue to run filling the trailer with humid near ambient temp air. Like a dog chasing it's tail, it didn't cool very well, I don't think the compressor could compete with that. Be sure the fan is set to auto.

They had to replace mine after our second trip because it developed a leak.

Waiting for replacement

Turns out ours was one of the faulty ones. Getting a new unit installed, at least it is covered under the warranty!

Thanks for reporting back. It helps us all when a solution is posted.
