Ac unit on with furnance
We just got a cedar creek silverback 33re purchased used. The furnace turns on but so do the ac units. Is there anyway to turn off the ac units? We closed the vent to the ac unit and the trailer seems to heat but it is still blowing cold air from the roof. Any suggestions?

Your air conditioner is not running - just the blower. As stated above, cycle your thermostat through Cool and Heat to FAN - then use the + or - key to cycle fan speed from HI to LO to AU for Auto.

I had this problem with our Cruise Lite when we first got it and I've seen the question repeated numerous times on the forum (BTW, the forums answer was the fix we needed back then just as I imagine it is now). So to me the bigger question is - why is there anything but AUTO on the thermostat since selecting HI or LO seems to just cause issues?

Because the fan speed is also used for running the Fan Only and for running the air conditioner. We use HI and LO all the time for the functions listed above -- but NOT with Furnace/Heat.

The scenario with the A/C fan running with the furnace is not a 'problem' or an 'issue' but rather an option.
The manufacturer built this option into the system because heat rises (from the furnace) and the A/C blower helps distribute that heat throughout the R/V more evenly.
Some folks like it, (the option) and some don't or don't understand why it is there to begin with. Now you do!

In some cooler damp climates you may need the AC fan to control condensation on the inside of your windows, much the same as defrost mode in your automobile will cycle your AC.

Not quite the same D W... in an automobile, the A/C compressor kicks in to condition the damp air when in the defrost position... in the case of the A/C blower option running with the R/V furnace, the compressor never kicks in. There is no conditioning of the air, only distribution of the air. Fan only, no compressor.
