Access leak help with seal

I have a water leak on a front storage access door.
Everything online says use butyl tape. I have a aluminum side style trailer(clipper).
Do to the unevenness it looks like foam not butyl tape was used from the factory.
Is this just a high density foam ?
Can't find anything online. Wish I had a smooth side trailer, they look easier to keep water out

Thick foam weatherstripping is the best thing to use. You can use several layers of butyl tape, but it continues to 'ooze' out for a long time after installation.

Unless you removed some of the sealant, it appears they missed a bunch.

That is foam behind the lip but all the doors I've seen like this, the foam is covered by a generous bead of caulking.

I will need 1/2 thick.
I never resealed the sides because it was never sealed from factory. I believe that may have been a leak point

Nope
That is the sides, only the top was ever sealed from factory.
I resealed the top but not the sides. This in my first TT.
Had a pop up before this

Why can't you just run a large bead of sealant across top and save some work seal all around it?

Floor is too soft and needs repaired. Have to pull it apart to do the repair

Ya it's gone and needs replaced, It was running down somehow not showing any signs untill the wood was roten, I just need to keep the water out it is rotten,.
Will figure out a way to patch the flooring when I fold up the vinyl up.
Looks like I'm going with the high dense foam, proflex Rv sealant and will seal the top and the sides, leaving the bottom unsealed.
