Adding deoderizer to black tank

I have a new Flagstaff 26RKBS with no access to toilet with slides in. After draining the black tank I add a gallon of water and deoderizer. Can this be done thru my black tank flush or do I have to go thru the toilet. I'm not going to be flushing the tank just draining it

You could do it through your tank flush. You would have to pump it in, though.

I don't understand that sentence. Why are you adding deodorant if you're draining it?
As to adding through your black water flush, I'm not certain that's a good idea. It would probably need to be a liquid because otherwise you run the risk of blocking the spray mechanism in the black tank flush. You could add it to a garden type hose, then attach it to the city water supply for the pressure. You'd have to be careful not to add too much water though or you could end up with a mess.

If you're dumping at a dump station and have flushed the tank well, you probably don't need to add deodorant.

I agree that you can add the water and a LIQUID deodorizer through the black tank flush.

Pour the deodorizer in an old hose that's connected to the black tank flush port on one end and then connect the end you poured the deodorizer in to a water supply spigot. (preferably with another short hose so you don't cross contaminate a possible potable supply with chemical)

You could also use a garden hose chemical sprayer in line with the black tank flush. Something similar to this...
A hose will fit on each end of many of these.Click image for larger version

Thanks, I wasn't flushing it just draining it. Then was going to and a gallon of water and deoderizer. I can use a liquid deoderizer, mix it with the water and run it thru a hose at my black tank flush inlet. Just didn't want to have to run a slide out to get to the bathroom. I wasn't going to be any where that I could flush the tank.

We talked about doing that. It only takes a few minutes and I can just wait until I get home while I'm still hooked to the trailer. I was just wondering about going thru the black flush inlet. Either way I would wait until I get home. Moving g the slide will probably de the easiest.

I always leave a few gallons of water in both my grey tank and black tank (with deodorizer) when storing. Theory is it will keep and debris from hardening in the bottom of the tank.

I recommend opening the slide and adding the deodorizer through the toilet.

Every week, we see one or two black tank anti-siphon / back flow preventers breaking. I wouldn't want to put anything but water through that fragile mechanism.

If you have 2 adults, you can do this at the dump station without adding time. Then you get the value of the chemicals sloshing around as you drive.

It would be way easier just to open the slideout enough, to drop the deorderizer in the toilet, than to have to hook up some kind of device to pump liquid deorderizer through the flush port.

I use the GEO method, and it works just fine without deodorizer. I have a clear elbow on my drain hose, so I flush until clear water comes out. After that, I don't beleive there are enough solids in the tank to ever cause a problem.
