Allison MH 2500 Transmission

Have been having a recurring problem where the two fuses on that run the
Allison 2500 transmission are blowing. Replacing them fixed the problem initially. Now the transmission control box will stay lit but the when you press the gear selector it won't shift out of neutral. Looking for a fix that will get me out of the garage and to the dealer to get a permanent fix.... Help please!

Have you tried removing all cables from your starting battery so everything to the engine is off and let it sit for 20 or 30 min to see if that clears (doesn't fix) the fault so you can shift. This is a WAG on my part and JMHO

Did you get this resolved? I'd be curious what year and model you have. I experienced a similar situation on a 2013 model Berkshire.

Thanks

Brian

The source of the problem is a bad shift actuator. To get it into gear you have to take a hammer tapping it as someone else pushes the drive button. Have to repeat the procedure to get it back to NN. The part is an ARENS shift actuator, Curtis-Wright bought Arens out so the part was hard to locate online.
