Anyone know what this?

New to me owner question; found this somewhere it shouldn't have been, my luck the roof will collapse.
Thanks

I think it's a quick disconnect pin that is used in applications such as inter locking sliding tubes and such.

Looks just like the ones on my mower to hold the linkages on. B47's probably a lot closer than me.

I have a high wall tent trailer. On my second outing as I was lowering the top I found it on the lip just the side of left front telescoping pillars.
Dealer told me it was for my curtains but not that I can see.

Check your slide out. It looks like one of the retainers for the rack and pinion drive

Don't want to find out later that it held a pulley pin in place is all.

It's a cotter pin. Check the antennae and check the arms of the trailer.

I think it holds one of the pinion gears on your slide in place

Looks like a different style clevis pin clip that would go on a round shaft. Acts like a cotter pin, like David said, I would be looking wherever there are connections.

You mention "Clevis Pin." We had a spirited discussion about these when I mentioned it in a thread sometime ago.

Being raised around farm machinery, there were/are a common piece of hardware.

It's called a bow-tie locking cotter. I don't know what it goes on in your RV, but you are most likely looking for some kind of pin/shaft that would be the size for it to fit as in the pic:

It holds the pin that holds the pulley at the top of the post. I couldn't see where it went until I pushed the bed in thus loosening the canvas that concealed it.
Thanks agian.

Its a whatchamacallit. A close relative to a thingamabob. It hooks to the kanooter valve.
