Auto Level

Greetings,

Just took delivery of a brand new Cardinal, 3950TZ. First time with the Auto Level system. It was veeeery cold, and the tech claims that the reason a couple of the legs wouldn't fully extend, was due to the cold. They did extend when he operated them from the control panel. Same thing when retracting them. Does it make sense that the cold would cause this?.....and are there relatively few issues with these systems? Not using the rig until April, so I won't be testing it again for a while....hoping the warm weather helps.

No doubt! When I get my tractor out in frigid temps, the hydraulics are slow to react until the oil warms up.

We have the level up on our 2012 Wildcat. For sure the hydraulics are cranky when it is cold! Auto anything doesn't work well below 40 or so. We have to use manual, sometimes several times, especially when bringing jacks up. Other than that, no complaints. Best option ever!!!

You should have gotten some instructions on your level up system, you be fine, you would need to put in a different ATF. to operate below I think 40 degrees. Since your not moving until April you should be fine
By the way congrats on your new Cardinal. My favorite FR TRAILER. you can get instructions and the manual at lci.com and look for the level up system
