Awning won’t work and slide is messing up Salem hemisphere 370bl

We’re on our 8 week journey and we’ve come across a few problems. We have a Salem hemisphere bl370 and our awning will not open. Any ideas what could be wrong? Also, our bedroom slide is messing up. It will start to open and then will start to push one side out more and then will stop. We can eventually get the slide to open or close all the way but it takes a while. Any ideas??

I not sure what slide system you have so I can’t help you there. Your awning it can be 3 different things. First is check for 12 volts at the motor. Second could be the switch, and third if you have power at the motor leads it’s the motor. I doubt if it’s the motor they are pretty dependable. Post which mechanism you have for your slides.

Sounds like the slideout is a Lippert Schwintek. They have a tendency to get out of sync either by a loose motor, loose or poor wire connection, or slipping gears. The manual for the slide should be included in your documentation and will contain troubleshooting procedures. Another thing about Schwintek slides is you never want to partially open or close them. Only run them all the way out or all the way in holding the button for a second or two at each end of travel.

My slide was doing the same thing. Had to replace the motor on the left side. Was an easy job after watching a YouTube video and the motor didn’t cost that much. You can walk the slide out. When the bad side stops push push the in side of the switch just until the slide moves then the out side of the switch and so on. It doesn’t move very much but it will go in and out. Just takes a while.

Sorry. Missed the last part where you figured out how to open and close the slide. Replace the motor on the bad side
