Battery help

I screwed up and forgot to disconnect my battery. About 3 weeks and my multi-meter is showing it @ 2 volts. Is it a goner? Will my 3 stage charger get it back or should I connect to the 15A house service (30A not available)?

Sorry, start shopping for a new one.

You might as well give your charger a try, but it's pretty well shot. Just be prepared to purchase a new one.

sorry! there are many people who post similar stories. i'm assuming you turned everything off before you left it for three weeks. just for others information, do you have any idea what loads still remained that discharged the battery so low in 3 weeks?
also you use the word battery so i'm assuming a single 12volt battery. can you confirm the type of battery.

Everything was off except co2/propane alarm... Crisis averted though. Just looked at charger and it is indeed charging so I tried meter again and one lead broke off. So, good news is I don't need a new battery. I do however need to repair the leads on my meter. Thank you all for humoring me in the meantime.

Look at the bright side, when this first happened to me it was a good excuse to upgrade to two 6 volt golf cart batteries for increased capacity.

Taking a battery very low can cause permanent damage with reduce capacity. If you are not a dry/boondock camper, you should have sufficient power for tongue jack, slides, till you plug in at a campground.

discharging past 10.5 volts causes permanent damage and you will never have the same capacity as the original battery had... don't count on it holding 12 volt that charge for any length of time...

Haven't done any boondocking yet, hand crank tongue jack, and we usually do the slide after power is hooked up. I guess my battery power needs are quite minimal right now. Turns out battery was never below 12v though. The initial 2v reading was because of a high resistance open in the lead for the meter
