Bed stops. Replace or modify?

I'm a "new2me" owner of a 2004 Sandpiper.

On our most recent trip, the driver side bed stop decided to begin coming out of the wall.

Are the interiors easy to pull out? I'm experienced with home remodeling and am a DIY type person.

This pic shows the pull down bed stop that I'm talking about. I will get a pic of the actual damage tomorrow. The other is a pic of our trailer and its most recent outing (July in the desert).

Thanks!
