The ceiling fan rocker wall switch in our2017 Cardinal is faulty and I would like to find a replacement. To mount to the wall the switch has two tabs that compress against the thin “wood” cabinet. Anyone know where I can find one? I have wire nutted the wires together and using the fan pull chain but would like to return to stock switch. Thanks
Appreciate your fast reply, I am a dinosaur and have no knowledge on providing pictures on this page. I do have pictures on my cell phone but do not know how to transfer them. It is a rocker switch on its face, but I have never seen (nor have the hardware store folks) a switch like this. I have looked on the internet and found nothing. Hard to describe without pictures unless you have had the same problem. I wil contact forest river, Thankyou for your assistance.
Can it be replaced with a standard household switch/box?
The ceiling fans I have seen run on shore power (120v) and use standard residential “designer” switches.
Regarding RV/Mobile home type switches—As these break or fail, I have been replacing them with a standard residential “old work” box and residential switch. In my experience, the mounting and electrical connections are much easier/more robust than typical “RV/Mobile Home” solutions.
