Coachmen Concord waste water dumping

Looking for advice on dumping holding tanks. Would like to install a clear elbow at the point where the drain hose attaches to the tank drain, however, the flexible rubber extension to the drain tube is in the way. Have heard that some have eliminated the swinging drain tube entirely. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Could you put the elbow on the other end of the hose?
They also make clear straight pieces that you could put on the other end.
