Cold bunk house.

I just upgraded my trailer to a coachman freedom express ultralight. The first night the kids were freezing and no heat was making it to them. This was the main reason we upgraded for the kids to have there own beds. Does anyone have suggestions?

Ceramic space heater.. add fans to blow in heat from the living area.

welcome. many a threads about crushed or unhooked duct work causing improper air flow. If possible check air flow and looked for crushed or unhooked duct work. quickest easiest fix if not paying for your own electric is an inexpensive electric space heater.

It would help if you posted year and model number, since you don't have it listed in your profile. That way others that own your model can be more helpful.
Are there furnace vents near the bunks?

It is a 2019 257bhs freedom Express. Yes there is one underneath the bunks

If it is adjustable be sure it is open. To test if it is hooked up, cover all the other vents and see if air flows out.

I have a '14 Freedom Express with slide/bunks. Like the OP the first time we camped in cold weather I found that the bunk room was cold. There are no heat registers in the bunk room. I found one in the closet and thought how odd. Turned out it was a vent for the water heater. My g'son's are old enough so I bought a quartz space heater for their room

My 07 Cherokee 32B had the opposite problem. The bunk room was like an oven! What I did here was block about 2/3's of the vent. This forced the hot air back out through the other vents.

Do you feel anything coming out of the vents? Maybe you will need to block off another vent to force the heat back there. Just takes some time and patience.

To balance a quiet with comfort in the bunkhouse, we shut the bunkhouse door when the kids go to sleep but open it back up when the adults go to sleep.

I checked the heater ducts and all are working.I am going to try to insulate underneath the bottom bunk and use reflective on the windows. Then add to fans ti blow air in to the bottom bunk.

Something like this can really help.. we have several of them.. one that is always in the camper.

Small enough to be out of the way but moves a lot of air. You could probably just leave it sitting in the doorway.
