Repair? Not sure it can be.

Replace? Search out nearby upholstery shops and ask them.

This flaking of upholstery has been going on FOR YEARS across all kinds of makes and models in the RV industry. You’re not unique.

Just type in “leather flaking” in the search box top right.

Several threads about this common issue are on this and other RV sites. The only fix is reupholstery or complete replacement. I'm in the middle of doing mine myself, and it is labor intensive, and that is the reason its so expensive to outsource the work.

Replace it. Go to the local furniture store with measurements in hand and find something comfortable.

One of our recliners has the same issue where your head rests on the seat back. We just cover it with a chair cover. It appears summer heat and humidity then the light abrasion by use are the culprits. Our other chair, which gets significantly less use is not affected.

Furniture possible replacement

Saw this thread about furniture falling apart. Yes, ours certainly are shredding, but we cover it with cloth throws. However, I'd love to be able to order a replacement sofa since it's the worst. Does anyone know who actually manufactures this type camper furniture? Surely there is someone who could send a replacement fold down sofa. This type sofa has the base built into the floor of the camper and has a nice slide out drawer underneath. The top is a fold down type thing that is screwed into the frame. Seems I could take it off and put a new one back on. My guess is that these camper manufacturers order their furniture from somebody, so why can't I? OK, then. That's about it for now. Happy camping all.

there are some sofas that are in large hospitals that convert to beds . my wife slept on on for a week. very comfy. price? over 1,000$. but worth it. they are narrow "ish" but regular length. google fold out hospital couches. high quality. i hope i dont ever see one again.

We purchased a nice R/V sofa from shop4seats.com. They have many styles.

They even sent us swatches of material before we ordered. It does take a while for custom order stuff but we knew that going in. Told us 8 weeks but was at our door in six.
