Direct dish update

I got the dish to work but it doesnt work when I hook it up to the jack on the outside of the TT. I have to hook it directly up to the receiver.Why doesn't it work with the jack ???

On the out side of your camper make sure you are connected to "SAT" not the "CABLE" and the same on the in side where you connect your tv, the next thing to check is the antenna booster, the little black button that turns the booster on and off, if the green light is on then press the black button to turn it off, if the light is not on then press the button to turn it on. I have Direct tv but I am not at my camper right now and I can't remember if the booster is on. Try one or the other and make sure your receiver is connected correctly to the "SAT" connection.

If your unit doesn't have "sat" connection your satellite receiver won't work without some modification to the wall plate inside. The wall splitter blocks Direct Current and the dish uses it to power the LNB and switch transponders. Here's a link that shows how to modify your existing wall plate to accept satellite signals.
