Door lock pulled out with key

Just brought home our new 323 mk Wildcat. Went to unlock the door of the handle lock. Key didn't turn easily but did turn. When I went to pull it out the key tumbler pulled out as well! Now what do I do?

It sounds like you were given an extraction key which is designed to do just that, but I doubt it. Your dealer, or you can get a new lock easily.

Since it's new I'd have the dealer replace the lock.

The keys don't seem to be going into any of the locks easily. Wondering if it's a good idea to use a little WD40 on all the locks or is something else recommended?

If the lock cylinder pulled out that means more then likely the clip on the rear of the cylinder came off. You will have to remove the inner door panel to get at the lock and replace the clip. Keys inserting hard may be to them not haven been buffed enough and the sharp edges of the keys I would not think lub is the problem.

lube if you want with a graphite spray made for locks, NOT WD-40 available at locksmiths or hardware stores

is your key Blue in color?
the extraction key is what happened either that or the factory didn't set it correctly

Liquid Graphite

The best way I've found to lubricate locks is to use a liquid graphite called Lock Ease. I had a 2009 lock do the same thing. Good time to change locks and get one that everyone else can't open with their key.

Also look /search/ for a thread a few weeks ago about bad locks. This was a problem with one batch of locks.

My lock on my 2014 trailer did the same thing. I ordered a new assembly from the below site. I had it keyed to match original and other locks. This being very new I would ask the dealer. Mine was just out of the bumper to bumper warrantee.

Ours did the same thing. Good excuse to order the keyless entry system. I love not having to carry around a key to get in. Cincia

Got it! No WD 40. Actually I'm taking in the RV Thursday for them to check it and other things out.

the one I got was the keypad for the door. I don't have them but some others on here have gotten combo locks for their pass thru/storage compartments so that they don't have to have a key for those. The keypad for the door was easy to install and works great. cincia

I don't think the ones on the storage compartments are keypads. I think they're more like a combination tumbler (like a school locker), but I don't have these so maybe someone that has them will chime in with more info. cincia
