Dump valve lubrication

Does anyone use a lubricant on their dump valves? On an older rig I used to spray some WD40 up into the sewer connection so that it lubricated the valves but not sure what the WD40 will do to the rubber. Any suggestions as to what to use?

Use Calgon in your tanks. It'll lubricate the valves.

petroleum jelly. Get a long flexible brush and smear some on the seals and open and close a couple of times.

Hmmm......I don't think I would use petroleum jelly.....that causes some rubber and plastics to deteriorate over time. Silicone grease would be a better alternative.
