Engine Coolant Hose Failure - Diesel Pusher

Hey folks, wanted to poll the forum and find out if anybody has ever experienced the coolant hose coming off (where it's clamped), going into the engine. We have a 2012 Berkshire 390BH (360HP Cumins) with 70,000 miles and in the middle if the desert this weekend, the coolant hose came off and we overheated. After a 90 mile tow into Vegas, the mechanic said it appears to be a design issue. The engine has zero movement but the radiator moves up to 2" during stress loads. Overtime, this causes the hose (and clamp) to pull off of the engine and literally dumps all of the coolant fluid. He re-routed a new (longer) hose to help with the "pulling" effect caused by the radiator and he double clamped the hose at the engine inlet to keep it more secure. Fingers crossed we don't have this issue again. I'd love to hear your thoughts and similar experiences. TYIA
