I have a 2018 Chaparral 30RLS and cannot figure out how to turn on the step light.

usually the control for the step light is on the main control panel or a switch by the entry way. If you are switching things and the light is not coming on I would check the actual light itself it may be bad.

it may be on the light itself. turn on all switches and tap light.

The inside step light should be marked on the switch inside. The outside step may be connected to the porch light switch.

I don't have your unit but if you have electric steps are you referring to the amber light that is underneath on the steps mounting structure?

On our 2018 chaparral the internal step light switch is adjacent to the hallway light switch. The outside step light is tied to the porch light switch. Both lights should be easy to replace if needed

I was just in changing a slide out switch on the master electric panel on my chaparral. When I was removing the slide switch I accidentally pulled a few wires out from other switches.

It made me think that perhaps you might have one wire/lug that May have become disconnected from its switch behind the panel.
