Finding Ford 6.8L V10 Motorhome Chassis Service Locations

We have tried, in vain, to find a Ford dealership that will work on the engine of our motorhome. Even though they sell E-450 vans, they don't work on motorhomes. We recently limped back to Missouri from a trip to Wisconsin thinking we had gotten water in the gas tank. It turned out to be a spark plug and coil that needed replacing. We were fortunate to find a dealer in Springfield (MO) who said he wasn't supposed to work on motorhomes, but did it anyway because it was on a Ford chassis. Future appointments would be sketchy, at best, especially if he retires. Anyone else having this issue -- warranty/repair work done on the drive train?

Thank you! I wasn't sure where to look for Ford RV, so did some more digging on the internet using that as part of the search. I came across a useful link on another forum which I will pass on to those on here who may need it sometime.

I too have had problems finding a dealer to work on my Class C. The local ford dealer won't do it, yet they sell the E-450 chassis vehicles and they have the nerve to call themselves the Truck center for southern Ocean county.

Everybody with a Ford powered- R V whether it is an E350, E450 or F53 chassis should write this number down...800 444-3311. This is Ford's assistance center who will direct you to the the appropriate service location and assist in scheduling an appointment.

Another good thing this number can be used for is little known to many people. You have 5 years or 60,000 miles road side assistance paid for by Ford but provided by Coach-Net and will cover flat tire changes, jump starts, Gasoline, lock out service (even on a class A) and towing to the closest dealer.
