Flooring Question

We own a 2015 Columbus 5th wheel, 36’ long. Due to a leak around the shore power connection that we couldn’t locate because of (what I would call a design flaw), we were unable to locate the source until some serious damage occurred. The “flaw” is that the permanently mounted end table on the shore power side had a false back half way in, to protect the incoming electrical line. Since the water came in there, it wicked through the carpet, & also mildewed the wall, & rotted the table.

We need to tear out the carpet, & thanks to another issue have had to take out the linoleum in the living/kitchen area. We would like to replace it all with LVP, but are concerned about the slides coming in and over it. Has anyone replaced the flooring in their 5th wheel & what are the tips and tricks? Or do I need to put back similar to what I am taking out? Will this need to be done by the professionals?

Thank you for your comments!

you can use LPV, but you need to watch the thickness of what you chose so the slide still has enough clearance. And you will need to glue it not float it.

Here is a link to a DIY where they use VPL but same process.
