Some of you may have read my rant about the dangerous practice of FR using plastic valve extensions that break.
What good is a rant without a solution?
Just for an emergency/short period use, I had the also infamous braided extensions installed. That bought me the time to order the "kit" that permanently fixes the leak and filling the inner dual problem. BTW, one of the extensions started leaking within a day.
As you can see from my signature, having rear duals (with filling/checking problems) is not new to me. The link below, is the same "stuff" I have used for my duals for about 500,000 miles of RVing.
DL1F Brass Duallyvalve Kit
I have NO affiliation/connection/financial interest or any thing other than being a customer with this company. BTW, if you are concerned, check their parent company, Borg Supply company.
With no connecting point to leak the problems go away. They will EASILY accommodate a TPMS as well because the inner valve stem is PROPERLY supported.
I am trying to get the Discount Tire Co store in St. Augustine to carry them as they treated me very well and only charged $85 (with tax etc) to dismount all 4 rear tires, install the new valves, re-mount and re-balance all 4 rear tires. From what I see others paying, this seems extremely reasonable. If interested, PM me.
