It could also be an auto-reset fuse that is either too small, or getting tired. When my jacks/slides would come part way up/in, stop, wait a few seconds (for the fuse to reset), then they would work again. It got progressively worse until it took 3 or 4 attempts to bring things in. Much worse in cold weather.
Upgrading one auto reset fuse from 50 to 80 (per Lippert), fixed the main problem. Also replaced two other 30amp resettable fuses at the same time. Cheap, easy fix. No more problems, even when it's cold.
