Front leveling jack retracts only 6”

2020 Cardinal 3456. Picked up camper at storage today for trip south. 32 degrees. Only had fronts jacks down. When auto retracting passenger side front jack retracted all the way. Drivers side only 6”.
Extended both again and then another auto retract. This time both came up all the way. Got home to load and extended them again and tested retracting and same thing happened. First time 6”, second time all the way.
Don’t want to have this problem 300 miles from home. Any ideas?

Either do it where it's warmer, or run them up and down enough to warm the hydraulic fluid, which sounds like what you did.

I've had that happen to the jacks and hydro slides when its cold. Usually under 40 degrees

It could also be an auto-reset fuse that is either too small, or getting tired. When my jacks/slides would come part way up/in, stop, wait a few seconds (for the fuse to reset), then they would work again. It got progressively worse until it took 3 or 4 attempts to bring things in. Much worse in cold weather.
Upgrading one auto reset fuse from 50 to 80 (per Lippert), fixed the main problem. Also replaced two other 30amp resettable fuses at the same time. Cheap, easy fix. No more problems, even when it's cold.
