Does anyone know if the observation camera can be used with a Bluetooth DVD in dash camera? I hope I am asking this correct. I want it to connect to the in dash camera like my bumper backup camera is, but wireless.
I'm certain they're completely different. Best you could do is get the camera that works with the truck and figure out how to adapt it to whatever mount is already there.
I'd like a furrion receiver that doesn't have a screen, but instead an auxiliary output. Then wire that in to the onboard screen.
Though, I now put the furrion on my rear view mirror, which is really natural.
I bought this at BJs to hold my iPhone in my rental truck and it works very well. I’m gonna try using it for my Furrion monitor and my TST color monitor when I get my truck back. At two for $10, it was a cheap experiment.
While it doesn’t answer the OP’s question, it looks like a viable alternative to mounting the display to a rear view mirror.
When I first read this I thought no. But, it could be possible if you you could find a way to build an output from the receiver to a Bluetooth transmitter that could link to your head unit. If the receiver does not do any decoding of the signal from the rear camera unit, then you might be able to just find a Bluetooth transmitter that could receive the signal from the rear camera.
