Galley tank filling rapdly

On our shakedown cruise with new 2020 Cardinal 3456. The tank which holds the kitchen sink water has completely filled in about 24 hours each of the last three days. Water backs up in sink. When I open the valve it drains rapidly so does not seem obstructed. Gray tank which I assume is the bathroom drain fills normally. Any idea what could be causing this?

Emptied galley tank then used a 2 gallon bucket to hand fill. It took 16 gallons before it backed up into the sink. Specs say 80 gallons grey water capacity so I assume 40 gallons per tank.

You may have the dreaded floating scrap of circular plastic from a hole cut-out in your tank. When the water level gets low enough, it floats over and covers the drain outlet. IF so, you make have to 'snake' the drain from the outside to get the thing out.

Solution found -According to what forest river told my dealer. In the manufacturing process the drain pipe was too long and inserted too far into the holding tank. When the water level reached the drain pipe it then backed up into the kitchen sink long before the tank had filled. Forest River told dealer they had done many like that. Thought I’d pass the info along.
