Generator

Had my Georgetown in the shop today. The mechanic pointed out to me something of concern with my mounted generator. He showed me how he was able to push the entire unit back and forth with not much effort. The mounting screws were all secure, but the bracket holding the unit had a lot of play on it. He was amazed that there was no cross sections on the back of the mount to prevent the swaying. That's a heavy unit with a lot of movement when driving down the road. Was this missed during the manufacturing process or are they not specced for this? Anybody have any insight or experienced this issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
