Glue for attaching to walls

Hi - my trailer interior walls are 1/8Ē plywood with a vinyl surface covering; at least I believe itís vinyl. Itís a very thin layer, like wall paper, bonded to the plywood.
I would like to attach a light wood shelf on one wall. There is no framing in wall at that location, so I plan to glue the wood shelf to the wall.
Are there any particular glues ghat have worked well bonding wood to vinyl finished plywood?
Thanks

Clear Gorilla Glue holds pretty well, but we've had better luck with Command Strips or 3M double sided outside tape. Some people use pop rivets, but you have to be careful of the depth of the wall.
