Grab handle foam

Anyone else have the foam sleeve split on their grab handle outside the door?? It’s a brand unit… haven’t even used it yet

Ours deteriorated quickly. I finally removed it all, and I don't miss it.

We removed ours on a previous RV also. Better off just grabbing the bar.

Mine started to split like in the picture in it's first season. I took some yellow vinyl tape I had on hand and put a double wrap around the top. Stopped the splitting and made the grab handle more " noticable " while walking around steps/ door area.

I read on another forum where they believed their DW's hand lotion prematurely deterioted the foam. I know that doesn't help the OP but speaks to how cheaply some things seem to be today. Just a thought...
