Hardware Replacement & Repair
I just purchased a used 2006 Surveyor SV264 and I'm wanting to replace some of the plastic exterior hardware such as the door holders and baggage door catches. The sun has dried them out and one or two are brittle and broken. How do I go about finding parts that would be exact replacements so the size and screw holes would match what I've got. Are OEM parts readily available and if so where? I thought I would probably tape and paint the yellow trim around the door windows that use to be a bright white - has this been done by anyone and if so how did it turn out? I also noticed that the tubing at the lower end of the left leg of the ladder has separated from from it's support bracket that's screwed to the exterior of the trailer - has anyone had any success in repairing this and what would be the best approach? Any help would be appreciated.
