Pex itself is pretty flexible and will go back to its original state. Its the connectors and corner pieces that break. This and the plastic caps are what is exposed. Even if you have a small pool of water there concentrated it can expand and contract fairly well. Worst case I see the plastic piece breaking off and the antifreeze drips out some. No harm done.

All you would need to do is cut the pex slightly above cap if it breaks and get push on sharkbite valves to fix it...$20 in parts and tools at best. Don't sweat it and enjoy!

Good luck!

Ours is stored indoors. They are packed so close you can’t get into it.

now that's the answer I was hoping for. I was concerned if all the antifreeze would drain but I didn't think so. Thanks so much

Now if she sees this.............another check list for winterizing ..... ughh.

Shhhhhhhhh
Just point out to her that the checklist is only as good as the person using it.

Unless a faucet is open you will not lose too much.

Even if it all drained out the only reason you put it in is to get rid of all the water so really no problem even if you lost it all now that the deed has been done.
