I have used WD40 before,,, but with sub 0 temps sometimes ether is the only way I can get my old tractor started,,, sprayed in the carbs,,, not in the cylinders !!!
This after shining a heat lamp on the engine for a couple of hours !!!

Welp, I ended up having a buddy give me a hand with these on Saturday.

The one generator started up on the 3rd pull. Apparently that was NOT the one I tried!

The other generator, he had to remove the carb and clean it out. Started up after than and ran fine.

Get the blue marine stabil and start putting it in your gas cans. I have used it in all the fuel I put in all my small engines for the last 10 years. Mower starts up every season (even though it sits with "old gas" in it) and the genis are always second pull.

It's OK- space is at a premium for me, so I'd only have 1 can at a time any way.

Maybe you should use some StaBil in that seafoam to keep it good until you can use it

Just a quick blurb from the GoldEagle web site, manufacturer of Sta-Bil products... Sta-Bil 360 Performance and Sta-Bil 360 Marine, protects for 12 months where the Sta-Bil Storage protects for 24 months.

MYTH #3: “ALL STA-BIL PRODUCTS ARE THE SAME, JUST DIFFERENT COLORS.”

Nope. Each product is specially designed to address and prevent a unique set of problems.

STA-BIL Storage fuel stabilizer keeps fuel fresh for extended periods – up to 24 months.

STA-BIL 360° PERFORMANCE protects against ethanol-related damage and provides a boost in performance and mileage economy if used at every fill-up.

And our STA-BIL°360 MARINE fuel additive protects and helps engines that perform in the damaging, water-laden environment marine equipment faces every day.

Both STA-BIL 360° Formulas will keep fuel fresh up to 12 months and provide protection to the entire fuel system – above and below the fuel line. So in the end, it all depends on what you would like to focus on -prolonged longevity, power/fuel economy or condensation management.

Thanks I will look into the normal stabil.

I always used the marine because it is good for the ethanol and it came in a larger container... Now its been a few years since I looked at Stabil so maybe the 360 is now the same size and price. Got more bang for the buck from the marine in the genis and mowers.

I have been using Seafoam for years,,, I see no reason to change !!!

I had a Push Mower a few years back when I took it out of the shead in the spring,,, it would start but not stay running,,, I poured a couple of extra ounces of Seafoam in the gas tank,,, after 5 or 6 more attempts to start it,,, it took off,,,
been running every since !!!

I'm glad I don't have these problems. I just go to my local station and by Non-ethanol fuel. Gotta love Florida.
