Installing lift in addition to steps

A couple that we camp with is elderly and she now cannot climb the stairs into their 5th wheel. Her hubby wants to install some kind of a lift or elevator type of thing that folds against the side. Any recommendations and if this would work and be steady? Thanks!

That’d be tough with the narrow opening. Pricey, but have they thought about switching to a toy hauler so there is a ramp she can walk up?

Handy lift by Burr Engineering is your solution. I added one to my Class C but they are made for the class A. They should work for the 5th wheel also. Not for a wheelchair but for a person to stand on that can't take the stairs. I'll find my post when I installed it that has some pictures.

Here is the link with my pictures. We are very happy with this and I installed it myself.
