Internet/satellite TV at home and camping

Any suggestions regarding a internet/satelite TV service that you can use at home and while traveling? I dont know a thing about it. Currently we have mediacom at home and use my cell phone for sort of an internet connection with verizon, but it is not really true internet. Happy Camping.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.............................. WHY????

You can get a wireless broadband card for your notebook from any of the major carriers (Sprint, Verizon, AT&T). Satelite from anyone. Just get yourself an extra dish.

I leave that stuff at home though..

I have the extra dish and carry a directv reciever from my home when we go.

We rarely use it except for late night before bed or in rainy/bad weather. It is nice for those nasty weather times.

Internet use a verizon card on the laptop when wi-fi is not available.

I do the same exact thing, and if I cant get a signal, I connect my new digital TV box, throw up the batwing, and pull in some great channels...
