New to the forum. Just picked up our brand new 2018 Rockwood 8311ws today. Absolutely love it so far but I noticed that connecting to the iRV panel using the iRV controller app on the iPhone doesn't work. It shows the RT33 (and when audio is on the irv68) but no matter how many times i click the connect for the RT33 it doesn't connect. Does anyone have any ideas? It seems like no one has any success with this from basic research.
Thanks,
Nick

Good luck. We picked up our 2018 8312ss mid July IRV won't pair, fresh water says empty even when it's full, water heater won't light on gas, and the roof has a bunch of bubbles. Possibly the worst investment we've ever made.
I called Forest River and they said to bring it back to factory for the roof issue, just need to make an appointment and get it down there. The IRV issue is B.S. because they just keep pumping them out defective and let you deal with it. Still working on water heater it may be something I'm overlooking.
The guy at Forest River gave me this contact information for the IRV control panel I believe he is with Patrick Industries. His name is Nelson (574) 970-8348. I haven't had a chance to call him yet. Hope he can help you.
my app has never connected. My phone does via Bluetooth but nada on the app. I believe it's such a common problem that I monitor the forum for the day a solution is found as I'm sure it will get much attention!

I tried the IRV app too on an Android phone with my IRV66. Did everything correctly and it won't connect. But like wardster said I can pair and stream music using Pandora/Sirius/YouTube via Bluetooth.
I've come to the conclusion that the IRV app for iPhone and Android is junk. I should have read the reviews before even trying. Every review is a negative regarding crashing or not connecting.
Mine worked last year. Not this year. It's a techy sales gimmick, unfortunately. I may get an IR repeater ($7 on Amazon) and put it in the window for controlling from outside. LAME...
Well my 8311ws is now winterized and on the seasonal site. I’ll keep monitoring this and other threads about it. It would be so cool to monitor and controller from my phone. Oh well.
