Keyless entry

So my Bauer Products keyless entry crapped out today. Would not accept the code, and after about an hour I got a locksmith to open it up. I thought maybe it was low batteries, but that hasn’t helped.

So, what is a reliable brand to replace it with?

Thank you!

We had a 2014 Trilogy 3650 RL that had a RV-Lock door lock which we never had an issue with. Our RS has the same one, we had to replace the circuit board once and now the battery in the remote is toast, wouldn't be a big deal but it is 12Volt 27A , about half the physical size of a AAA and not easy to find. However having said that, customer service at RV-Lock is top notch.
I always keep a spare key in the truck, it served me well once.

Keyless entry

I am embarrassed to admit both door keys were in the same drawer, inside the trailer. Even after we discussed the need to strategically stow one.

I also have the Bauer. Not very reliable. I eventually mounted a lockbox next to the door with a spare key.

I replaced the offending unit, and added a keyed lock box in one of the propane compartments for my spare key, which pretty much guarantees I won’t have any more lock problems lol.

What hardware did you use to secure the lock box to the sidewall? I've been thinking about doing the same.

IUsed 1 1/4 “ ceramic deck screws, The framing on my unit is about 1 1/2” wide next to the doorway...so it’s in structure.
