Keyless entry

Somehow I got locked out of my 2021 3010DS and all of my keys, phone and purse were inside the motorhome. Thank god for my Apple Watch. I do not know how the door automatically locked when I shut it. Has anyone replaced the key lock with a keyless entry? If so, can you share your experience. Where you purchased and who installed. Thanks

I installed this brand on my TT. So far I'm pleased with it. Easy install, works well. Gives me the option to use a physical key, the keypad, or a remote fob. Customer service has been good as well.

I'm sorry to ask, but how did the watch help?

I'm guessing she was able to make a phone call or pay for lunch.

Edit: I just realized you are in a motorhome.... I'm in a TT, but my answer still applies.

I first did an electric lock from Camping World, keypad but no remote. I wanted inexpensive and although it was basic, it worked pretty well: No Name Brand The price was good and I installed it myself. Very easy and was a good tight fit.

On my trailer upgrade, I checked out the remote variety. I almost got the RV Lock as mentioned earlier, but Amazon had a lightning special on the Latch. It Lock and I've been very happy with it. I installed this myself also, and this one felt sturdier and more secure than the previous install. The inside latch is larger and easier to operate. My one complaint is that the Latch.it lock does not have a two-key combination to lock; to lock it you have to input the code. Not a big deal, but I'd prefer when I'm leaving to just press two keys and activate the lock. I suppose with the remote it's not needed.

I'd recommend either, although the remote has been really nice and is, in my opinion, worth the price.

A hide-a-key is cheap insurance for the next time.

I'm not sure an Apple Watch would fit in one!

But, seriously, this is a simple and effective solution. Many out-of-sight places for it to be placed underneath the MH.

I used a different brand of keyless lock. A Bauer product.

Here is a link https:/https://bauerproducts.com/ It has Bluetooth Tech. that will work with either an I-phone or Android phone.

I use to have the rvlock.com brand, this didn't hold up over three years of use on my Cedar Creek. Switched out to a better product that is very will made.
