L/G & level up won’t retract

Hi everyone,
Having an annoying issue with our 2012 Cedar Creek 5th wheel with the LCI electronic leveling system.
When we attempt to retract the landing gear or leveling jacks we get nothing but a click and a faint whine.
The slides work fine and the landing gear will extend.
The touch pad for the system is brand new as is the trombetta solenoid.
All the circuit breakers are okay, but I don’t seem to be getting power to the pump motor when I hit retract and battery voltage is 13.8
Any thoughts as to what to check next?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

What is the voltage at the motor terminal when you try to retract?
What is it when you extend?

You say all the circuit breakers are ok? Did you check the resettable breakers against the firewall in the front basement?

I get no voltage to the pump motor on retract.
Stays around 13.6-13.7 volts while extending.

Yes, I verified that all 3 circuit breakers are not tripped and I have voltage on all legs

Well, the one of the big wires from these breakers goes directly to the top of the trombetta relay? You said no power there?, I think..

I have voltage to the top leg of the trombetta solenoid and I get power to the motor when I extend the landing gear.

Does the motor turn? I’m confused is the problem just on retract?

The motor turns and runs the pump, but only to extend the landing gear.
When I hit retract I get nothing. It’s like the trombetta solenoid isn’t receiving a signal to power it for retracting the landing gear.

Ok, I have to ask. You say “when I hit retract” you get nothing. Does retract light up? If it does do you then hit the front button? Of retract is not lit the front button extends, when retract is lit the front button retracts.

I hope I’m not sounding silly as you may know all this but I’m just going by what you say..

Yes, I just meant when I try to retract.
I hit retract, get my green light then try front or rear and get nothing other than a small click and faint whining sound as long as I’m holding the front or rear button.

I thought so..lol..

On the trombetta relay there is the 12 volts that comes in the center connection. Then there are 2 connections, one on each side that go to the motor. The terminals will switch polarity depending on retract or extend.

Your motor is working in one direction (extend) but not in the other (retract), maybe.

Measure across the motor and see if the polarity is changing. If it is then the motor is not working in reverse.

If the polarity is not switching then the trombetta relay is defective or the control to the trombetta is not working (other wires that go to base of trombetta).

What you can do until you get this figured out is switch the wires on the trombetta that go to the motor and now extend but now it will retract (unless the motor reverse direction is not working, you would then know for sure it is the motor).

Thank you for that information.
It’s getting dark here now, but I’ll give you’re suggestions a shot tomorrow.
Do you know if it’s common for the diode’s in the control harness to crap out?

No, I don’t know about the diodes.

This might help you..

I tried reversing the wires to the motor, and now extend will retract.
I can run my slides in and out normally as well.
When I hit retract, I’m not seeing any voltage to the small spade terminal on the trombetta to signal the solenoid to engage.
When I hit retract I I can hear a faint click and faint whine that sounds like it’s coming from the pressure sensor.
Yesterday I was able to successfully do an auto level, but today is says auto level in process please wait, but doesn’t do anything, just eventually times out.
Im not sure if I’ve got a control box issue or wiring issue, but it’s getting very frustrating.
