Leveling jacks popping
Anyone have a problem with their hydrolic jacks making a popping sound, is there a fix that won’t hurt my warranty that I can do or do I need to take it to the shop

Look up the use of stiction fluid. Lippert even recommends it.

Yes, there is a fix for that, do a search for it, it is an additive made by Catapiller it is just a fork fluid I forgot the correct name for it, but is is recommended by Lippert, you just drain some of the old out and add the new. Hope that gets you on tract

What kind of siphon did you use to remove the hydraulic fluid
Just began the process from Liperts tech bulletin to replace a quart of hydraulic fluid with anti stiction fluid. Tried using my trusty siphon I use to drain gasoline from my yard tools at the end of season and I could not get the hydraulic fluid to get sucked up into the drain tube. It's a simple siphon with the bulb that you squeeze the fluid into the drain tube. Thought there might be a recommended siphon that someone used to do this. Wish I could say my siphon really sucks but I can't!!

I used a Turkey baser to suck it out, make sure as you clear the resivour you put your finger over the end so it won't drip out. Then just add the new. Worked for me, but I had the height to do it.....[emoji884][emoji196]

I considered using the turkey baster but it sounded messy and slow. I haven't ruled it out, however.

Most auto parts type stores have some version of this. Some are manual, some are for use with air compressor. Some cheap, some not. Harbor Freight has a good one for cheap also.

Just get regular, I don't know if the other would work or if they make it. Lippert put in NON SYNTHETIC trans fluid.

Just go to the CAT store and get the CAT 1U-9891 additive, it's the only one that really works. The other fluids that Lippert has on their list don't work at all or just work temporarily. My Level-up system used to pop like crazy during the summer. I added a bottle of the CAT anti-stiction fluid in May 2017 and they haven't made a single pop since.

Will this work on a leveling jack made by Equalizer Systems with the same problem of creaking?

I would call Equalizer and ask them and not rely on what another manufacturer recommended for their system.

Spoke to Equalizer Systems. They said to try the anti stiction fluid to quiet creaking. They said at worst it won’t hurt anything.

They did say only to use the Cat product. Not the other 2 which he said would not work.

Turkey basted and I ordered the fork oil from Amazon. For mine it took 2 quarts before the popping stopped completely.

Did our Silverback in winter of 15 in Fl used one quart eliminated popping. Know this will get comments. Changed fluid in October as recommended every 3 years and low and behold popping started just this week. My wife and I just yesterday ran to local Cat dealer in Palm Bay and did the 1U-9891 fluid. It works exceptionally well No popping last night.
