Levelling jack slips down gradually
This has been happening for some time, but I have generally ignored it, since it hasn't affected the operation of the jacks, or the ability to level, and I have been able to retract it every few weeks or so, as needed. Lately, it has been getting worse, dropping a bit more quickly. My dealer once told me that it needed a whole new jack (he didn't actually look at it), but I think there could be another problem. If I remember correctly, the jacks are held in retracted position by hydraulic pressure. If the pressure is weakened, the jack could drop. The affected jack is the one farthest from the pump/tank, which is what made me think of this. Could a weak pump or a partially blocked hose cause this to happen? I don't think there is a leak, as my fluid level hasn't dropped, and I haven't found fluid dripping from anywhere.
