Light cord from truck to camper

I put a new cord on and the lights work but brake control light does not come when I hit the brakes. It's 2003 wildcat fifthwheel

You could check to ensure that you have power on the brake pin of the plug with a voltmeter with someone pressing the brake pedal. If so your problem could be the camper wiring to the brake units.
