I measure from the ball socket to rear bumper on a TT and from the king pin to rear bumper on a 5th wheel. If you have something extending past the rear bumper like a spare tire include that in the measurement.

Starcraft gave measurements on their Hybrids both open and closed. I would use the open measurements when checking into campgrounds.

Starcraft gave measurements for length, both opened and closed

In listing my Lacrosse TT on RV dealers sites it was 2 different numbers. Either 31' or 34'8" for the same unit. Some were honest living length or hitch to bumper length. Depends on how the dealer advertise it.

My Flagstaff brochure shows open and closed measurements for all hybrid models. Mine closed is 24'8" closed and 29'2" open. A storage facility would want the closed measurement and a campground would only care about the open length.

Exactly. Some if not most storage providers actually measure it themselves.

X 2 I think the only reason cg ask the length is some sites shorter than other so go with the longest measurement of your trailer. Later RJD

On my 25RL Wildcat the inside measure from the bedroom headboard to the back window measures exactly 25' outside from pin to spare tire is 28'7" that is the number I use for campgrounds.
