Mineral deposits on Mirrors

Does anyone have a tip for removing water mineral deposits from our side mirrors? The air conditioner condensation dripped off the roof when it was parked on an unlevel surface in our driveway. I tried white vinegar and when that didn't work, I tried Comet spray cleaner (non-abrasive). I would appreciate any tips you can offer. Thank you.

I have great success with Cerama Bryte used to clean a glass top stove and a fine scotch brite pad. Be careful with the mirrors as too much rubbing will remove the mirror finish. Works great on windshields and glass windows.

Would not use scoth-brite or steel wool on ony surface you don't want scratches on! Doesn't matter what surface you are using it on. It WILL scratch!

like a job for "MURATIC ACID", read the lable and use carefully, but it should work, removes everything from rust to crust on plumbing things.---- if it doesn't work diluted-- try it straight but have water ready to wash it off. I had streaks on my truck windows from water run-off and this work on it.

I respectfully disagree. Yes, steel wool will definitely scratch which I did not recommend. The very fine "no scratch" scotch brite will not scratch glass. I know for myself as I used this method to remove hard water deposits on our 2 cars. You have to be careful on the mirrors as too much rubbing will rub through the finish.

As the owner of a polishing company for 30+yrs serving the automotive, medical, consumer, and aeronautical industries all over the world, I still would not use a scotch-brite pad, regardless if it says it's "non abrasive". The scratches may not be visible to most, but I work on a micro level and scratches exist. A soft cotton cloth and stove top cleaner should remove any build up on a glass mirror.

I will try the soft cloth and stove top cleaner. We haven't even take our maiden voyage yet, so I don't want to harm our new "baby" in any way! Thanks for all the ideas!

Just thought I'd follow up on this. I tried the glass stove top cleaner with a damp paper towel and the mineral deposits came right off without scratching the mirrors. Thanks for the idea. Love how you are all so helpful!!!
