Muffler?

I will be picking up a 2016 Sunseeker 3170DS tomorrow. During my walk thru with the dealer I commented on the loudness of the generator. He stated that I could have a muffler installed. This is my first Class C, previous units were travel trailers. Has anyone added an after market muffler to a generator in a Class C? Thanks in advance.

Before you make changes to the muffler, I suggest you verify the noise is muffler related and not mechanical ( valves, etc) noise as a muffler will not fix that.

I agree, having come from two toy haulers with built in generators the actual exhaust noise is almost nothing, its the radiated noise and vibration that is louder.
