My pump froze up

Hello all,

I did a quick search, but didn't see anything on this so sorry if it has been discussed already. So we finally made it out for our first trip this past weekend. We bought our PUP new last year, and this was the first trip after dewinterizing. Everything went perfect with set up but our toilet. We have a pop up, classic 625d with a small thetford toilet. I filled it up, and when I went to test it, it wouldn't fill. Not even a noise. So I had to take the speaker off to get to the fuse inside. That was blown. I replaced it, and it blew again when I tried to fill it. My wife and I started taking the handle apart. The control board was getting power, so we thought maybe the pump. Let me tell you, my wife had fun reaching down for that. Anyway, we noticed it would not spin freely. After breaking it loose, it worked like a charm for the rest of the trip.

My question is what does anyone do to help keep this from happening after sitting for the winter or a long time. The manual just states to drain the entire system, which we did. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a lube or something to help this from freezing up again?
